removing EGR on 95 5.8 with DPFE sensor

Anyone attempted this? The EGR sits on a mast. I got everything loose, except there's a heater hose bracket in the way. The bracket is pinned in by the DPFE's metal tubes. Do I have to remove the mast from the exhaust manifold?

I'm just trying to clean or replace the EGR, not eliminate it.

The 1995 5.8 does not have a DPFE. It has an EVP sensor.

That is a good way to put it. If I can not find a way to bend or cut this bracket, there is a bunch of stuff I have to take off just to remove the last nut holding the EGR on.

Ford shop manuals only show an EVP sensor for Bronco, F series and E series in 1995 so yes you may have the only one ever made.

Do those manuals include California trucks? Maybe I have a collector.

That is interesting. I see why you are so adamant. But no, I bought the Bronco on 12-30-94, in Orange County, CA. I still have the window sticker. 1995.

I sure wish it had an EVP. It would make life a little easier right now.

Thanks for the effort.

Ran across this about a year late, but I can confirm DPFE sensors on a 1995 CA SFI 5.8, these bronco/f series trucks also have two 02 sensors.
