Ok, I just wanted to know if anyone has any idea if (and where) i can find the clear corner lights for a 1990 f250...i've exhausted searching google, ebay and the like search engines. Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I contacted directauto.com and they told me that they were made illegal 3 years ago, and I wanted to know why they're still being sold for other applications...they haven't responded yet.
Because people are still buying them. DOT came down on a lot aftermarket products several years. Tail lights and HID systems were all that I was aware of, I do know that some clear corners became very difficult to get a couple of years ago.
So what makes them illegal and is it only on an older model vehicle? I have clears with the stealth bulbs (they are chrome that still shine amber when lit), haven't had any problems (yet) and I guess I've never heard of such a thing. Interesting. And yeah... good luck finding them - if I happen to come across any aftermarket I'll pm ya.
I haven't been able to find any using search engines, popular websites (depot / recon) and cheap-bay. I'm not sure that anyone would even be making them anymore (for obvious reasons).
I know this is an old thread. I have seen those MEMO Imports lights before. I have been trying to find ones without the chrome trim but have no success so far. Anyone have any ideas?
