I like lowering the stance on a 2WD, so I lower the rear a couple of inches...
But you wanted to know how to raise the front, It can be done with spacers under the front springs, or longer front springs, or relocation of the spring hangers. It can even be done with the inverted dropped I-beam axles.
Just depends how much you want to spend, or how in depth you want to get..
Having it aligned AFTER the lifting is priceless, better have a good alignment guy.
I guess its like the dropped axles, rather though the opposite direction. This is going to be the most expensive way to raise the truck, I would do the lift by spring spacing, its a safe, economical way to approach the problem.
maybe 2 or 4 inches . I don't want the dropped nose in 2wd.
by the way, do you know if the 2005 front axle with spring suspension can fit in a 2wd?
the spring housing looks very similar!
The 4X4 front axle can be fit in to place. A lot of work though. I still say go with a spring spacer above the spring..Although compressing/uncompressing it will be a challege.
if not mistaken the spring spacer gives u a good 3" lift if more needed i belive u have to move on to a larger spring ... might want to double check that ...oh and if not mistaken their is a rubber type spacer and a metal type ...ive always seen the rubber one used i figure it would be less noise
