We have 7 of them in school buses ranging from 79,000 to 137,000 miles. All we have replaced are 4 glow plugs, one HPOP because of a leak, one IPR valve, several water pumps and a few electrical/sensor issues.
We also have an 82,000 mile 6.0 that has never been touched.

I had to read this twice before I understood it, but I think I like it.
Without breaking forum rules, IMO there are many scientific "facts" that are unproven and untrue.
Makes me reconsider the value of biofuels.

I guess I am also blessed with an outstanding '02 F350. I purchased mine used about 1-year ago with 208,000 miles. I had a CarFax and the Oasis returned nothing major. Other than that, I don't know the history, but am still very pleased with my purchase having a price of $9,000.

121000 miles only normal wear items( batteries, tires, brakes, etc.) and of course 1 CPS.

It was just my little response to some who came across as feeling a bit superior as they were doing their part to reduce oil imports and challenging others to do the same. Not really trying to talk anyone out of using biofuels but making the point that we may be just replacing one problem with another.

potterfield - CPS is a Camshaft Position Sensor. Plenty of posts here on that topic!

My F250 PSD has 135,000 on it with no major issues. Just the usual i.e. CPS, fuel filter leak and GPR.

I've only got 230,000 on my 02 with no major problems. So I guess that means I'm not eligible to vote yet.

My dad has a 99 F250 Super Cab 4x4 farm truck that looks like hell (tail pipe is welded to fender and isn't even attached to muffler), but with 230,000 plus miles it still tows over 20,000lbs. 6 days a week. The only part that needed replacment at 190,000 miles was the altenator and the air conditioning needed a recharge. He only changes the oil maybe once a year. I'm amazed it still runs as smooth as it did when he first bought it.
