2008 V10 sighting on Long Island, NY - F450
Saw my first non-red-vented 2008 SD today - an F450 with a toolbox bed... Local tree company, I think.
So at least V10's are available here in Metro NY - but at what GVWR? Over 14K?

I was too busy to snap pics - maybe I'll see it tomorrow in the same area.

The vents on the front fender. The diesel equipped trucks have a red vent.

The F550 is available with a V10 and 5.38! gear ratio with a 19,000 GVWR.

Krewit.
Today I stopped @ a Ford Dealer for parts . They were Hi-lighting A Red-Vented f350 or f 450 ,all dolled up . My jaw dropped to the floor ,$73,000 for a pick-up !
Now I know what a red vented pick up is . A whole lot of money .

Exposition, it had to be the 450. 73,000 is ALOT for a 350. Way to much

Besides my F-350 I've only seen one other '08 V-10 in Rhode Island and that was a regular cab 4X4 sitting on a dealers lot and it was gone the next day. To be honest I have seen only a handful of any 2008 SD's on the road in my area. Maybe todays lowering of interest rates will ignite some new truck sales.

I thought you could only get the diesel in the F450s?

Yeah, on the pick up models. The cab and chasis models are available with a 5.4, 6.8, or 6.4.
