noise when turnin

i have a 2005 250 and ive recently noticed that when i turn the wheel left and when i go to turn it back theres a popping sound. i heard it the other night and just thought that i ran over a piece of wood or sometihng. i noticed today though its doin the same thing. it only does it ever once in a while. any ideas guys. thanks

thanks for the input, but i crawled under it and notice that the steering stabilizer had oil all over it. the seal evidently broke on it. its gettin stuck and poppin out(hence the poppin noise). im takin it to the dealership tomorrow

If that turns out not to be the problem, you might check out the hub. I had a friend with a SD that had the same noise and it turned out to be his hub not fully releasing when he dissengaged his 4x4. Just a thought.
