Lifting Cab 2001 f250 ccsb 4x4
Ive spent a decent amount of time searching on here and could not find instructions. Its been awhile But ive helped a friend do this on a 2000 truck to do turbo, up pipes oil cooler etc.
Getting ready totdo the same on my 2001 below to do pedestal seals, up pipes and oil cooler gasket, as well as get the engine cleaned, harnesses glow plugs, hpop orings, fuel bowl rings etc etc etc.
Does anyone have a link to step by step instructions or an article on this? Im sure i can find instructions to the later trucks, would those be similar enough for me to use? I get the basics, cab bolts, intercooler pipes, rad hoses, steering, brakes electrical connectors etc, but id like to save time doing trial and error with all the electrical connectors I have a two post lift so the actual lifting wont be a problem.

I think on the earlier models you don't have quick disconnect radiator and oil cooler hoses. I can't remember on my '04 but I believe you will have to remove radiator and shrouds to raise cab. Cab bolts are inside of cab instead of frame. Ford certainly made it easier on later models. It seems to me I removed the pcm and all wiring.
It will take a little longer but it can be done.

i know, but i want to to clean everything up where the pedestal has been leaking oil. I really dont want to be cussing like a sailor while wrestling the up pipes and oil cooler in and out. While im in there the hpop and fuel bowl rings will be much easier to get at. I have a bad lower back so i prefer to utilize my lift when i can
While not near as intense i have always done the same on the 5 73-79 trucks i have had with the front clip for intense engine work. Takes about 30-45 mins for that. I figure it will take me 2 hours to yank the cab, coolant needs flushing anyway
