i have a 1975 f-100 with a 352. when idleing in drive the oil light comes on. if i am idleing in park the light dosen't come on. what is going on. i know i need to get the carb ajusted. could it be that it is just idleing too low?

Its got to be idling awful low to get an oil light with a good oil pump. Might try another sending unit and if that doesn't work a real guage to see what your pressure actually is.

I know that this has nothing to do with your origanl question but a 352 in a 75 truck is, I think, a real oddity. What makes you think it is a 352?? Below the oil filter area there are some casting #'s get those and we can let you know what you might acctually have.

As for the oil light. I have to agree with Rat get a gauge that tells you what you are really running. Sounds like the idle is too low. Just my opinion.

yes it is a 352, i took it out of a 1965 galaxy that the guy living next door to me was taking to the junk yard. the orignal 351 that was in it blew up so i needed a motor and this was a good replacement(as long as i can get this oil problem fixed)
