1/2 Ton or 3/4 ton....

What is the load class for expeditions with 8.8 front and rears.....

I'd figure that to be a "half ton" but I wouldn't bet on it.

The expeditions, I thought, were F150's underneath.

There are no 8.8" diffs in the 3/4-ton and up. I'm not familiar enough with the F150 to be sure, but I don't even think they use the 8.8" in the back anymore since the ratings went up so high.

in 97-03 They used the 8.8 front and rear, except for the 5.4L trucks got the 9.75 in the rear.
I haven't looked under the front of an 04-up to see, but the Exby' would fall in the 1/2 ton class for sure. The Excursions were the SuperDuty SUV's.
