best order for future modfications

I have a 1994 Ford ranger 4.0L with auto hubs, and manual transmission, regular cab and 7ft bed. The following are mods I want to do- money is short, but I wll gradually do one thing at a time. I just don't know which ones to do first. I put them in order of what I wthough would be best... please correct me-- I am new to modifications and all...Its getting boring to drive an all stock ranger. Its got a lot of life left- only 68000 original miles
-2-3" body lift
-4" susp. lit front and 2" suspension lift back
-"prerunner" type front bumper
-hitch reciever
-pipe rear bumper/ with tire holder that swings out like a jeep, etc.
-5.0L 302 swap- not sure how this needs to be done--- I am looking for any informatio nI can find- especially est. costs
-snorkel- probably after the engine swap?

Right now I am working on swapping seats-. I can do that easily enough right now...

Skip the body lift, they look like crap as they cause gapping between the body and frame, body and bumpers and screws with shifter allignment. All you need is a 4" suspension lift and run no bigger than a 33" tire on a ranger. If your motor runs good, I wouldn't worry about swapping it out anytime soon.

Ditch the auto hubs, Get the suspension lift, lower gearing front and rear, and the bigger tires. Make sure too change your gearing to keep the motor in it's powerband or else you will eat gas and tear up parts. With a gearing change you should be happy with the engines performance if not go for manifolds and long skinny single exhaust for torque!!!

how will changing the hubs affect the pushbutton 4wd? I'm not going to change them now- I find them helpful for my winter driving-- I like being able to switch while driving down the road like commuting the 300 miles from the UP of Michigan to Grand Rapids in a snow storm that kicks up here and there, lol. lower gears will affect gas mileage, correct?

So you know they are engaged but if it's too cold to get out and turn the button it is definately too cold to get stuck in three wheel drive too! If you go with bigger tires and not change the gearing that will affect the gas mileage! And not let the motor hit it's sweet spot!

well, I got hit the other day... I need a new bumper. will an after market trailer hitch still fit if I get the regular pre-runner bumper? If not I will get the receiver bumper.. The bumpers I am looking at are located at http://www.jamesduff.com/broncoII/bumpers_carriers.html.
thanks
Jeremy
