I personally know 4 people that live within 20 miles of me that have had 6.0L equipped Super Duty trucks purchased back by Ford. I will never recommend one to anyone. I guess we are all TROLLS

Mine was just purchased back on 8/28/07 because it was a LEMON.
At least they bought your truck back. I'd be doing cartwheels if I'd had such luck.

Color me a troll too.

I thought this was a 6.4 forum, Why are you guys crying about 6.0s?
I owned a 7.3 and loved it, I did not buy a 6.0 because I did not think it was a good idea with the problems they were having. I purchased a 6.4 because I wanted one and it was the best value FOR ME. It is a new engine and will have and problems I'm sure but but so far I have not heard of any major problem that has not been fixed.
Allot of the problems so far have because of mods.
4 trucks in a 20mile radius sounds a little extreme even for the 6.0, Are you sure you have not been listening to TROLL rumors?

I hate to be the dead horse beater, and I love everything about my truck, but FORD has to improve this with current models and the new builds, word is getting out, sales with drop off.
Note, the other Two US makers have 6 speed Tranny's, that's where the higher MPG are coming from. In town they suck too.
I don't know about dodge's 6 speed, other than their tranny is absolute Junk.

I do know that the allison is "kind of" a 6 speed. It acts as a 5 speed but makes a decision when downshifting for more power. I can't remember for sure, but belive it skips gear 4 during acceleration. When it needs to downshift, it will either go to 5 or 4 but then back to 6. So technically you're right, there are 6 gears in there, but it really is a 5 speed. My bro-in-law's dmax will run right around 2,000 rpms at 70 mph....just like my powerstroke.

Im gonna talk to the site administrator and see if we can start passin out blankies with FTE subscriptions, lol. If you dont like what you got then sell it, simple as that. Dont make this forum your wife to come and complain to about fuel prices, what Im doin with my truck, the problems others are havin, etc., This site is here to help others with the good and bad issues these trucks may encounter. If you can not handle that then please remove yourself from the site
