was just over at blue oval new's and looked up production number's for 2007 expedtion's,january-july= 58503 unit's,2006 expedtion unit's produced january-july=47938 =10565 more 07's than 06's in expedtion's for the same time period,so much for high gas price's killing SUV sale's and it look's like the new 2007 is a hit with the public,we love our's

Being retired, I don't drive my 07 Expedition much, so for me I don't care what gas prices are. But for someone that drives a lot, may be something smaller with a V6 or 4 cylinder would be better. Some of these smaller SUVs with the 4 cylinder engines run very good.

I drove a newer Pontiac Vibe for a while with a 4 cylinder automatic and it got around just fine.
I drove a rental 07 Chevy trail blazer inline six automatic loaded down with my household items 1800 miles across the country expecting it to be a dog on the highway, but was shocked to find that it could really get going on the highway like a V8.
I thought it had a V8 until I looked under the hood.
A Ford 6 cylinder SUV might do just as good.
