Rolling this group in with the F150 group

I'm STRONGLY considering rolling the Supercrew group into the 1997+ F150 group. Its just too similar a truck and too many posts here are going unanswered when they could be easily answered in the F150 group.

Your thoughts?

Do it! I end up posting in both due to the lack of response in this forum. I am not a "frequent" user, mostly because I am new, but my opinion anyhow!

I like it the way it is. I only have in an interest in topics specific to Supercrew. I do agree though that the response is weak in this section.

As a new SCrew owner, I will have questions in the future specific to this model, and I don't think they would be answered as easily on the general group discussions. However, other than bed size, cab size, etc, most issues will relate to all 150's. In the long run, it probably does not need it's own group. And, I agree that some questions may be missed if not posted to the general group. If it is causing excess work or time, might as well put them together.

As A Supercrew owner, I would like to see this group remain.
It is an easy way to find information specific to the Crew.
Is it really causing much extra work?
It seems many other groups are also lightly used, but are probably valuable to those that need/use them.

Just my .02.

Frankly though, its a waste to have a third of the threads go unanswered.

I'm forced to agree with you. Although I bookmarked this site several months ago, it took some time before I got back to it (I apologize). I just registered with you yesterday. I think you have about the best website going for Ford (truck) people. Having owned several Ford trucks, I would have to agree that the similarities to these trucks outweigh the disadvantage of maintaining two distinct database categories. I like the distinction of owning the top of the line (read; elite) Ford truck, but from a technical aspect it only makes sense to combine the two and will ultimately serve all of us the best.

I vote YES!

I've been watching here for a long time... this was the first Screw specific message board I found but have to admit, I have several I watch/post on and in recent months, this is the one with the least number of posts. Hate to see the one that got me involved with them go but I understand where you are coming from Ken. Actually see a lot of the same posters on the boards I monitor, couldn't tell you why this one gets less action.

Support you in what ever your decision is Ken, just really appreciate your time and effort in contributing and maintaining these boards.

I think having a separate forum for a Super Crew makes about as much sense as having separate forums for:

(On trucks)

Regular cabs
Club/Crew/Extended cabs

(on others...)
XL
XLT
Eddie Bauer

SRW
DRW

F250
F350

4x2
4x4

There is nothing unique/special about the Super Crew. It is a 4-door truck. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Super Crew... but it really is not its own breed of truck.

I agree with the Lightning having its own forum; it is 'unique.' Maybe even the Harley Davidson Super Crew should have its own... but not the plain Super Crew.
