Extra cab doors-trying to open and fix
Hello,
It was suggested that I put my query in this section as well, so here goes:
On my last posts, was enquiring about the newer ford trucks. Well, I'm happy to say that I've procured a nice little workhorse a 1999 F250 4X4 x-cab 7.3 diesel w/ 68,000 miles .
Swapped it for my Mini, which was the MOST unpractical vehicle for me (after all, didn't haul trailers or even fit a bale of hay, much less the groceries )
Truck runs great and sure is nice to have the purr of a diesel again, one issue with it is that the extra cab doors won't open.
The cables have come out of the mechanism located inside the bottom of the door.
The cable is intact, retracts when the handle is pulled, so no problems there.
How they came out on both doors, don't know.
First, is there a way to open the door w/o the cable? Taken the door panel off, had my hand inside the door and screw driver through the hole at the bottom of the door and tried to find a way to pop the door open to no avail.
Is there a way to pop the door open and put the cables back in place?
Thanks in advance,
Mags
