howeling transmission

have a 85 f150 wita t176 manual transmission. just rebuilt the transmission and it all works just fine but now when I take my foot off the gas the transmission makes a howelling sound in first and second gear. I can understand first gear but not second gear. it did not do it at all before i rebuilt it. maybe nothing to worey about i dont know.

If you used new gears, they could be breaking in. I'd also check the fluid level.

Got any parts left over? I'd stop driving it and tear it down again. Get a blow up and make sure all the spacers washers etc are in the right spots. Mine don't howl like that.
