Can't get the truck started
The truck is a 1997 v6 4.2 F150. I can not get the truck started and need some help. Here is the story:
Drove the truck home from work the other day. It idled rough and ran just as rough from 1-20mph. At about 30-40mph it smoothed out with occassional hesitation. Right before I turned it off at home... the check engine light came on. After that, I replaced the fuel filter and now the thing will not start. The fuel pump works (I can hear it run). I can see the fuel lines near the filter move as fuel moves through them. The Interia switch is okay (not tripped). There is good fuel pressure from the Schrader (spelling?) valve. I can start the engine if I spray some starter fluid into the throttle body (it runs for a minute, coughs, and dies). Any thoughts?
The last work done was a new PCV valve.
