My 2001 F-150 4.2L V-6 2WD makes a roaring sound in between 800-900 RPM. Anywhere above or below this certain RPM zone, the noise disappears. It does not seem like it is affecting my truck, but it sounds really annoying. I have no idea what this is or if it is normal. Can anybody help me?
Yes it is.......its telling you the fan is working to cool the engine, radiator, etc.Mine went bad a few months ago along with the a/c and the dealer caught it a replaced it.Sounds like a plane taking off...
