It wasn't totalled, the 19ft long truck fell ~15ft onto it's rear end, accordioned the back of the bed, busted the lights, bent the drive shaft, fish flopping back into the water. The fishers say it was funny as anything, with Sandy cursing stomping around in mudders throwing fish back up on the dock. Hubby Jack 'bout had a heart attack laughing.

I think it all goes to what insurance company you have. I had a person break into my truck and take my computer. I had my homeowners and my car with the same company. I provided a list of what I had on the computer and what receipts that I had. I valued the total loss at about $2,100 and about a week later I got a check for $2,950. I called and asked why the check was higher and they stated they valued it at higher as well they valued my time on the computer. I can say with that I will NEVER switch my account and I know I pay more than a caveman or a gecko, but I am looking at the bigger picture.

P.S. If you took pictures, make sure you have a copy for the adjuster. I take a picture of everything I own and then e-mail it to myself on my hotmail account. That was if anything happens I have access to the photos. I also send a copy to my in-laws and my parents.

When I totaled my 95 PSD the insurance gave me what the truck was worth & he paid me $500 for the $300 toolbox in the bed. He would have paid for the custom stereo in it but I took it out instead. I had listed the stereo & tool box on my ins. My wife is my agent but she can't help with the adjuster. If you own a custom truck you better let your ins know if you expect it to be fully covered.
