Take this job and shove it...

Just wanted to let you all know the good news... my last day at Steel&Pipe to work was last Sunday---and I couldn't be any more happy.

I'm not sure if I have told the rest of you (Tim knows), but I started working full-time for a buddy at his remodeling (sp?) company which is working out great. I've been there now for a couple of months and I really enjoy the work experience and the crowd is a much easier crowd to get along with.

Hope to see you all soon,
STan

Yay! Carpenters Rule! That's what we need is more non-illegal-alien construction workers around here. I've been a woodbutcher all my working life, and there's nothing else I'd rather do (except gigolo-ing ). You meet some of the funniest characters in this business. I'm doing custom trim and cabinets now since I can't frame anymore (knee replacement). Remodel is a great way to learn a little about all the trades, until you decide to specialize in one. Plus, when the new home market slumps, people are more inclined to remodel rather than buy new, so you should stay busy. We do all the work for Landmark Homes in Cedar Bend on 116th (I think) St. North, but we're really tied up in Bartlesville (sigh-long drive from Kiefer-sigh). Might see you around sometime- I proudly display my FTE bumper sticker on my old red '79 so if you see me, stop by and say hi.-Pete P.S.- I'll bet it beats that hot, nasty old shop work, huh?

Glad to hear it Stan!

Get good at it and I'll have you come over and help me remodel or re-roof my house!

Congrats on the career jump!
