Hi all
I had my truck running decent and timing good but as soon as I reinstall the SPOUT it idles rough and climbs and falls. I did have the battery unhooked to reset the computer, could the computer be trying to relearn the idle? Is that why its idling bad? What if I don't reinstall the SPOUT? Could I drive it without it?

only thing the spout does is it connects the computer into adjusting the advance curve of the engine. it will affect your fuel milage and some performance. it will not hurt the engine, just milage. sounds like your computer might be going bad. did you check your idle air contol valve? if you unplug that, idle should drop like it is goinna die and when you plug it back in it should in theory raise it back up. that is if it is working correctly. if it isnt working right, it will affect your the idle on your vehicle. if that is working correctly, i would check the ground on on your computer. Scruffy was having issues just as i was and when the spout is unplugged my car ran better and his truck ran better. he has it listed as a TFI problem and it ended up being his computer. it should be a couple posts below this.
