Hi and Welcome to FTE!

With all 5 New Ford p/us I've had (Rangers and F150) my dealer had set my 1st 1000 mile oil change for me (its usually been free) But "some" have gone for 3000mi. for the first one.

My current truck went in at 1000 miles... which was free.

Im sure others may have had a different milage or time-frame....

On edit: Sit tight we'll have this post moved into the '04-'07 F150 Forum

Definatly refer to your owners manual. Also it should come with a Maintenance history book that tells what exactly needs to be checked and done at each scheduled milage.

Welcome! I've always done mine before the 3000; 1000 doesn't sound too early, for sure. Good luck & enjoy!
