engine rebuild
I am looking for a block to start a fully built 7.3. Hope this is the right thing to do instead of getting a little faster engine to start with? When looking for a block what years will work? 99.5-03 or will the earlier 7.3 blocks work for my build? Is there a certain year that is better for a full build? Any advice you can give to help me get the right starting platform for this build will be greatly appreciated. thanks, scott

What are your intentions, how much HP do you want and how big of a budget are you working with? I literally just stole off ebay alot of internal engine parts for my build im going to do eventually, Pull my engine, build it up, stuff it back in and break it in until i can afford some larger sticks and another turbo.

It is going to take me probably a year to do this, that is why i am looking for another block to start out with. I want to go big and bullet proof. Rods, girdle, fire ring, head studs, haven't decided on a turbo setup yet(i'm getting the turbonetics for my current engine), haven't picked injectors yet, and will be doing some kind of drugs with it(the engine that is). but i need a block to start with and have found some cheap ones and some expensive ones. Any advice on what is the best year to get or to look for would be great. thanks
