How many miles will 5.4 go?

I have 250,000 miles
I have read so many forums about how bad the Ford F150 5.4 Triton engine and transmission is, well today I reached 250,000 miles on mine, and have to say either I am lucky or I do take care of my truck, but I have changed coils, mainfold, alot of brake pads and tires, and lots of Mobil one oil. I have changed the trans fluid probably every 50,000 miles, I'm not the best on fuel filters, but I use this product Dyno-tab, which is fabulous. I have heard about the spark plug issue, but I changed them, and used anti-seeze paste, like they recomend. It has had that anoying tap, and sounds like a knock when cold since it was new. I guess it must be nothing since it is still running sweet. Im starting to get this stumble when under light load, I read its the Oxygen sensor starting to go, might attempt it over the winter. THe exhaust, is original too. I'm hoping that this does no jinks me, because I want to take it the next 50,000 miles before giving her up. So I hope whoever gets tired of reading the bad threads, that they read this, and see there are some wonderfull Fords out there. The only bad thing I see down the road in the future, is that a replacement is $50,000

I have a 2003 F250 bought brand new January of 04. I have just over 225,00 on it. Basic maintenance for most part. I did have #6 spark plug blow out. After it happened the second time no problems until now. I just replaced the battery this week and now it won't start at times, not even a click. I take the key out and put it back in and turn ignition switch and it will go. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries though. I hope I am not getting to the nickel and dime part of owning the truck now. Any thoughts on my current issue?

I have a 01 expedition with the 5.4. Last summer it started missing and lost compression on #3 at around 175,000 miles. I went ahead and changed the engine out with a fresh rebuild. I got it at 77,000 miles. The 100,000 I put on it were hard miles, pulling a 32 foot 9500 pound camper all over the country. I am not great about remembering oil changes. I never did pull the heads to see why I lost compression, I am suspecting a broken valve spring, but it was starting to burn oil pretty bad. Until that time though I had no problems. The EGR pressure sensor had an issue, the vacuum hoses would melt and the nipple the hose slips over melted off. I had to put a new alternator on it once. I also had to replace the front brakes once. Now it eats batteries. For some reason once a year the battery goes bad. So far in the last 4 years I have gone through 5 batteries all with a bad cell.
My pickup is a 99 F150 with the 5.4. The kid I got it from was not good to it! It is pretty beat up. The original engine spun a bearing and locked up at around 115,000 miles. I got it with around 35,000? miles on the rebuild. It is not in my shop torn down again with a spun bearing due to timing chain issues.
My dad has an 05 F150 with the 5.4. I think he is over 200,000 miles with no problems yet. It does have a bad knock when it first starts up, but still runs great once warmed up.
