Warning Light on...

My mother-in-law has my truck, as we took her SUV to Colorado. She just called and has a light on the dash, and I can't picture it in my head. She described it as "Googley Eyes" or a couple squigly lines & circles. It is on the left side of the instrument cluster. Does anybody have a clue what this is? I've done a search for a symbol diagram, but found nothing. Thanks.

On the left side there is indicator lights for 1.check fuel cap (if equipped) 2.low range 3.4X4 4.gas pump for low fuel 5.picture of motor indicating SES for emissions 6.seatbelt reminder 7.wait to start 8.water in the fuel indicator

I misread the year model sorry. You may have a few extra symbols.

i think in 02 there was a lttle glow plug light instead of the wait to start that would kind of resemble what your talking about.

Thanks all - yes I believe it is the glow plug light. I've looked at it everyday for the past 5 years, but can't remember what it looks like now, although I think thats it.

it looks like a partially uncoiled spring on the left side of the instrument panel.

It's gotta be the glow plug or wait to start light:

On my '00, it doesn't have a symbol, just the words WAIT TO START, but on the I think '01s and newer, or maybe '02+, it's that little resistor symbol.

Tell her to wait till it goes off, then crank.

Thanks, Rick. So it must be 02s and newer. That pic I posted is from an '02 owners manual (diesel supplement).
