Differences between an XLT and a Lariat

Well, its not coming from a ford dealer, so I cant get them to get the OASIS report, The salespeople didnt even know what an OASIS was.. LOL. I did post the VIN in the OASIS request sticky, but its waiting on approval before it shows up.
I can get a carfax. the salesman has said the carfax is good, and is supposed to fax me a copy today.

Boo, the OASIS report you get should be a primary indicator of buy or not.
I bought a 2003 with the 6.0 L back in Feb. My OASIS came back with no powertrain issues. That is a critical factor. The 6.0s either come out really good or they are pigs. If you report shows multiple powertrain issues, I'd ask around on the site before you make a committment to buy.
If the OASIS comes back clean, then I'd be pretty comfortable with the truck.
Good Luck Pal!

And I believe the 6-oh's computer has a tattle-tale that lets the dealer know if there EVER was a chip installed. That equals no warranty from Ford.
Unless it's religiously serviced, the K&N lets more dirt through than the stock filter, and contributes to a condition known as "dusting". Not a good thing.
That 5-inch exhaust would be a clue that the previous owner drove it a lot harder than average, too.
If it were me, I'd pass. The money's not anywhere near ballpark, given what you've told us.
But, hey! What do I know? I've got an old one! ;-))
(But I'm very, very, VERY happy with it!)
