Good Mechanic in LA

Hello everyone,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a mechanic for our '66 F-100. We live in sherman oaks (San Fernando Valley) in Los Angeles, so the closer to us the better. Thank you.

Bill's Auto Repair in Orange. Does a lot of work for members of SoCal Galaxies. He's a darn good mechanic. He only works on pre-computer era Fords.

or...

Call Bo at Mustang Service Center in North Hollywood (11610 Vanowen Street). His shop sometimes works on other Fords. Bo is an ex Ford partsman, and KNOWS the product. He has all the parts catalogs too.

Like to renew this thread...

Finally convinced my wife to let me put some $ into my old 63 Flareside that's been sitting in the driveway. Not looking to restore, just want to get the thing running well and add power steering (it's already been swapped to 460 with automatic trans and disk brakes on the back).

Unfortunately, I'm not mechanically savvy, so I need to find a mechanic in LA (or a lovely soul looking to make a few extra bucks in their spare time).

Any recs?

Thanks for any input!

See post #2. Bill's Auto Repair is your best bet, as he does a lot of conversions.

Last time I was there, Bill was installing a 460/C6 in a 1957 Mercury Station Wagon, that originally came w/a boat anchor 383 and Turbo Drive.

Thanks! Is this the place? Not a lot shows up when searching.
