Towing Tandem Trailer And Fuel Tank About 1/4 Full On Incline And On Level Roads Around Four Times The Engine Has Died; Figuring It Is Out Of Fuel Or Faulty Reading From Fuel Level Indicator Call Aaa And They Brought Me Diesel In Middle Of Nowhere. Newer Diesel Motors Purge Their Own Air After A While And There Is No Need To Bleed The Injectors Like The Old Days, But This Is My Brothers Truck And I'd Like Some Recommendations On How To Stress When It Is Time To Fill Up?
I Myself Would Try To Keep It Half Way Full At All Times But On Long Trips That Is Sometimes Impossible. Running Out Of Diesel Is A Problem, But Has Anyone Had The Engine Die On Them During Towing And Not During Towing Any Where Around The 1/4 Tank Area?
Question #23: Is The Injector Pump The Same Thing As The Fuel Pump? The Tank Only Has A Fuel Level Indicator With Float And A Fuel Sock On A Suction Hose, Right????
