I'm trying to get a little smarter on TC types. So far about all I know is that I think there are at least 3 different classes which are thrust washer types (which are stock on our trucks), Heavy duty needle bearing types, and multiple disk types. Does anyone know if I am even close on this; or, have a link that describes the classes and operations thereof?
Also, I'm currently looking at a TC built by Precession Torque Converters pn 2648PSRV (about $285) for my truck. I think it is a heavy duty needle bearing type with Billet heat dissipation fins and is often used on big RVs. Anyone have any experience with this one or know anything about it.
