Kmart, target, and others have "floor hump" coffee holders that often times have places for change, cassettes, etc. $10-$25 depending how fancy you want to get. Nothing wrong with bolting one of those to the floor.

Well you have a 5-speed bench seat, what do you expect? Not much room there. I know what your talking about I have the same thing. I'd say the door hanging cup holder!

There is a "cup holder" made for your seat........I just looked on Ebay and didn't see any........but usually there are a few up for sale.........Check on "car and truck parts-Interior-cup holders". The one I'm talking about bolts to the front of your seat.......rather small so your shifter doesn't hit it....holds 2 cups and has a map holder in front I think.
Most of the aftermarket ones hold more stuff.........and like has been said.......couple of sheet metal screws and it's in.

Good Luck

Well first he needs to make sure that his seat has the metal posts on the front Bob. I think you can get install kits for this but I can't say whether or not they work very well (or if they work for all seat applications). Also, your statement about the cupholder is incorrect to the best of my knowledge. The cupholder that you're describing with the 2 drink holders is only going to fit in an automatic. There is a special cupholder which bolts to the same posts that was made for the manual transmission trucks; it only has 1 drink holder spot and a small tray for placing change, etc into.

Here's the cupholder for the automatics:

Here's your manual transmission cupholder:

And here's a guy on ebay that I bought my OEM cupholder from!

Check out his other auctions, he has all different colors. I had to paint mine because he didn't have gray. Good luck!

I'll give you the idea that I'm gonna use. I will get a piece of 3 or 4" pvc pipe. I will take my usuall cups with me & may use 2 different size pipes to accomodate cups more better. Like my wordage? LOL. Anyways, cut to size, cut slots in top edge for handles then bolt with a large washer thru bottom to secure to floor. You can insert a piece of foam of some sort to fit how deep the cups sit in there. What do you think. You can paint it to match too.

I went this route..

Works great, removable, and an armrest to boot.

I have a red cup holder pictured above as the manual. Has one cup holder and a bigger area for storage or something, not really sure. I bought an aftermarket one at wally world but if you want a factory one i'd be willing to sell it to ya.

Mike, my truck didn't come with ANY cup holder from the previous owner. I bought mine from that guy selling the cupholder on the ebay listing I mentioned above. $27 after shipping I believe.

I just cut 2 holes in the armrest and went to the junkyard and pulled 2 plastic cupholders out of some junk van. then, i just put glue in the hole and presto chango; 2 cupholders that don't get int he way at all. It works. However, if someone does ride in the middle the cupholders are useless.
