89 F150 Gears

Hey all, I have a 89 F150 with the axle stamp 18 on the door... Are those 2:73 or 3:55 gears??? If they are 2:73 I have a 88 F150 with no cab that has 3:55 in it. Reason i ask is that I have 35s on my truck with a 300-6. When I'm in the mud (clay) I need a gear between low 2 and low 3 on my 5-speed to clean the tires well... Also thinking on putting one of them spools in the rearend that are being sold on ebay at a reasonable price...

Only Highway driving this truck does is to go to the gas station about 4 miles away... And really big snow storms that my 96 Grand Cherokee can't handle...
