2006 F250/350 gauges

I don't get to see very many superduty's and just wondered if the 2006 models have a trans temp gauge. After having a trans temp gauge installed on my 1/2 ton Dodge, I won't be with out one on any vehicle that I use to tow with.

They do have one. It's not particularly accurate. It functions more as an analog "idiot light" more than anything. Folks serious about towing usually put in a good aftermarket unit.

Two co-workers here have '04 and '05 Diesels w/ automatics. Both trucks have the trans temp gauge as standard.

But... one of them discovered this is nothing more than a glorified idiot light. It doesn't move much at all after it's been warmed up, even when towing a 9000lb trailer.

He installed a real Trans Temp gauge, and now gets real numbers to look at.

Enjoy,
