Window Rattle Problem

We have an 07 EB and a problem with the front driver side window rattling when it is partially or even all the way down. We have now had it in twice to fix the rattle, most recently yesterday. We were actually told yesterday that there was nothing else they could do to fix the rattle and that it was normal. The message I take away from that is that they didn't want to go out of their way to figure out how to fix it and that we just needed to learn to live with the rattle. I cannot believe they actually expect me to just live with it, especially since the rattle was not there when we first bought it. The vehicle is still only 15 months old with 16,500 miles on it. Needless to say I will be taking my business to another dealership.

Has anyone else experienced a problem with a window rattle and have you had it in to be fixed? Was it fixed successfully?

Thanks.

I had a rattle on my passenger side that creaked when the window was rolled down 6" or so. The warmer it was, the louder it got. I had it in 3 times, they never fixed it. I fixed it in 20 minutes. The glass rests on plastic clips. These clips ride on a metal bracket. If the bracket is not greased 100%, the clips make noise. I added $.25 worth of lithium grease, noise gone. The work was making the window click, while I looked at the tracks etc.

Locating the source is 95% of the work.

Can you duplicate the rattle by moving the window with your hand or bumping the door? If so, I can walk you through taking the panel off and finding the culprit.

berry1234 - Sorry for the delay in seeing your reply and getting back to you. Seems as though I can duplicate the rattle. If it's not that difficult to remove the door panel and you have some steps I could follow I'll give it a shot. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
