Rain - Oh Yeah!!!

We are getting a good steady soaking, we needed this bad - for even the weeds are dead. And the folks closer to the wildfire needed it worst.

I thank the good man upstairs, amen.

We had went to a total outside water ban, our city/county wells had to be dropped - This rain is good, and I have just stood out in it this morning, not having the good cents the good lord gave a dog to get out of it.......now I'm off to get a bar of soap.....

Getting a good slow soaker here too. You are right it is really needed. I hope its helping with those wildfires. We have been getting a good bit of smoke all the way up here. Some mornings you have to stay in the house to breathe. That in itself tells me the fires are doing alot of damage. Hopefully the hurricane season will get rid of those fires without doing damage elsewhere.

We got 2.5" in the r/g. Good thing was it was a very good slow soaker. I awoke at 6:30 and it lasted all day, until up into the night. It was a beautiful day, just what we needed.

That's amazing. It was hard to see and breath here and the ash got on everything.

Getting a good soaker this morning. I need to paint a house but I am glad to see the rain anyway. The water restrictions they have in place here I am only allowed to water on sundays before 10 in the morning.

I caught it a couple posts late but congrats on 3000 posts. They just made ours a little stricter we went from three days a week to 1 day a week. My plants will still do good. I have an unused well plus I reuse some greywater. I do not worry about the lawn much even though parts are newly planted. I am not wasting resources to grow a lawn. The bermuda grass will eventually fill everything back in come hell or highwater anyway. The weather forcast says we will have rain everyday through friday. I will see what happens.
