hey whats up everyone in FTEland just want to leave a post of safety when riding your atv,mx,etc.. my best buddy got hurt really bad on july 3 (fractured shoulder, wrist and worst of all hip)hip replacement surgery is set for tomarrow he's only 33. we consider oursleves good safe riders just accidents can happen. We were riding on a graded flat surface 1/4 to 1/2 mile long done it many times before no biggie! out here where we live it can get as hot as hot 120 so we take night rides. our caravan was rolling deep (2 f250s 2 f350s 1 f150 1 ranger) had to throw that in to make a long story short there are a couple of boulders out there, he almost hit it head on in an effort to avoid it he swerved on hit it with his rear tire which threw him several feet his impact caused his injuries. PLEASE EVERYONE THAKE OVER YOURSLEVES AND YOUR LOVED ONES
ATVs are no joke. I ride them all the time and you learn real fast how to be careful (like you guys sound to be!). This just happen. I was going about 30 MPH when my rear swingarm decided to snap in half and I rolled it three times. I had all my protection gear on and walked away with a really beaten up 4 wheeler and few bumps, cuts, and bruises. I hope your buddy gets better soon.
I rolled a caged go-kart and got my arm caught between the cage and ground as it went around. It pulled my shoulder out joint. But didn't break any bones thank god. But still, my arm was ooc for two months. Always pays to be safe as possible.
My Buds and I tear it up on our four wheelers, but it is inevitable to have an accident. So far so good, but loose gravel is the worst, so, I second the warning, let's be carefull out there! Just to make it FTE compliant, I tow them all out into the woods with my F250 with out a prob!
