1987 Ford E350 Motorhome Fuel Relay Location? PLEASE HELP!

Please help! I have a 1987 Gulf Stream Conquest Class C motorhome, mounted on a Ford E350 chassis. I thought I had it all figured out when it would start, but not stay running. I replaced the in-line fuel filter, the carb fuel filter and then decided to go ahead and pull the electric fuel pump. When that still did not work, it hit me that maybe the pump was not getting power. I took the old pump and hooked it directly to the battery and of course it works. Now I have spent all this cash and my parts guy says to try repalcing the $10 fuel pump relay. That would have been nice to know earlier! I got the part, and now I can not find the damn thing. Can someone please help? Inside? Outside? Firewall? I am trying to go out of town with my kids. While your at it...could it be anything else??? The pump is NOT getting power, but are there any other sensors, relays???? Thanks Craig

Yes there are.
If I remember postings right they are on the firewall in the engine compartment.
If you have two fuel tanks you have two relays and an oil pressure switch with a bypass from the starter solenoid.

Let me know how many fuel tanks you have and I will post an electrical diagram of your fuel system.

1 BIG tank

It has a single big tank with an electric fuel pump that drops in from the top. The generator also pulls from the main tank, but I don't think that matters. Where on the firewall should I look? Passenger, Driver, High, Low?????? You said that it it is in the engine compartment, not inside the cab?

Here is a diagram of electrical. The diagram is of a 1986 but I think the 87 was the same.
Sorry I can not help much on the location of the relay. If it was a truck it would be on the drivers fender but the guy said his E350 as on the firewall in the engine compartment and I could not get any more out of him.
When you find it let me know.
You may not have the in-line pump that is in the diagram.

Found it!

Driver's side above the top headlight, under the lip on the radiator mount/nose of the body. Quick and easy. I removed the battery on that side to make sure I did not rip or break the fitting. The motor started right up
Thanks
Craig

1986 Ford E-350 Fuel Electric Pump Issues

One has a 1986 Ford E-350 Cutaway, running a 460 cu. in. 7.5 Liter 4-Barrel Carburetor, for a 27 Foot RV that has been plagued with fuel pump and sender malfunction issues for four years. Finally, found the problem - power to the Electric Fuel Pump Relay, Passes Through the Oil Pressure Sender Unit on the Rear of the Block, and that had an Intermittent Connection. Hope this Helps.
