Thumbs up Happy Birthday America!

Our foundingfathers worked to make this a free and united nation...Many of us have served or have had family that has served to help this country remain free and strong...

Those of you that have served in the military have seen other parts of the world...I am sure that you can testify that our country is not perfect, but it is far better than what the rest of the world has to offer!

Happy 4th All!

Built a launcher out of old exhaust pipe and an old tranny pan, fired about 20 mortar rounds through it, including half a dozen triples and a few quads, then fired a 30" tall bottle rocket. Pretty cool, didn't light anything important on fire-
Just scared the dogs pretty good. Make a loud noise or clap your hands, watch the tails and ears drop.

We went to the Demolition Derby! It's a family tradition for the 4th! Nothing better than a good smash-em-up to get the juices flowing! I'm so barbaric! Ha! Ha!

It was a great Fourth, flags flying, a good local parade and bbq.

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."

The parade was at 10:00 including the shopping cart drill team from Sentry market, friends and family for grilled ribs and bird with my homemade sauce, then the wildest fireworks display in the US, The Long Beach penninsula. 25 miles of uncoordianated chaos, with bon fires, kids, horses, barbecues, and 2 commercial displays one on each end. Told the wife I'm saving more just for my share of the fireworks. I figure about $500.00 for a good start.
