I broke my map sensor :(
just broke off my map sensor barb for where the line plugs in and then lost the barb when i dropped it into the headlight area 
So has anyone here tried to jb weld a barb back onto the sensor? And what would happen if i would try to fix it and it broke again while i was driving? If its not going to do anything destructive to the engine i might try to fix it and if that doesn't work i'll buy a new one.

If it falls off while driving, you will just loose alot of power thats all. No harmful destruction, unless you happen to be pulling out in front of an 18 wheeler lol.
On the fixing it thing, it might be easier to just buy another one BUT, on my buddies CTD we installed a water meth kit and the stupid barb was busted out of the box for boost reference. Well its a friday night at 9 oclock, we run to home depot get some crazy glue, and crazy glue that sucka on. After that the line never came off. I had high doubts about it working but it did. Perhaps try that route. It lasted him since december til now.

well i went ahead and jb welded it since i had it sitting around and i figured i would try it so it would have a setup headstart until somone replies. Im waiting for my turbine and stuff to come back from being balanced(ebay turbo guy) and i'll have it all back together then. Really don't have the extra cash for the sensor since buying the turbo kit and all but if needed i'll get a new one. trying the cheap method first.
