fuel help please

ok i have 55 gal of jp8. i need to know by the end of the day if i can use this and use it safe. i am guessing that if i mix 2% 2 stroke oil that i can use it won't sit in the tank as i am taking a long trip 15 hours of driving and its free. will this hurt my 7.3 and is it a long harm or can i use it a few tanks and quit. this would be a big help. and i did search this and all i could find is it might do this or that and may or may not harm the eng fuel system. due to the lack of lube.

Ryder, go ahead and use it. I run JP5/8 if I can get my hands on it. It wouldn't hurt to dump in a little oil as the lubricants in #2 are not needed to run a turbine engine, hence the lack there of. I would probably add about 1/2 a quart of new oil- it wouldn't hurt your "oil burner"

Give this a read.

It sounds like your plan should be OK.

Hell yeah she'll burn tranny fluid! It's a great fuel system cleaner due to all the detergents in it.

Even B20 that is not "home made"?
I buy B20 from time to time from the only station in town that sells it. Does this include a detergent to clean the system?

well i made the leap of faith and put 8 gallons in just to try it out we'll see how it works. but it just saved me 24$ so i hope it works out well. left the rest of the tank with #2 in it.

Ryder- just make sure you filter it from now on- I know Huey fuel cell de-fuels come out with all kinds of crap in it from the foam in the tank. You can run it through a coffee filter if you want...

yeah i runn it into a hazmat fuel water/crap filter when i put it into the jugs. it seems to be working well. but its like now i keep hearing things and thinking i'm going to kill my truck. but theres nothing wrong. it like right after you do work wondering if you did it right or if you broke it more. so i'll just take it with a grain of salt and let what will be, be. i know the cut vees have been runing it for years and years. so that a peace of mind.
