Sorry about the cross post but I didn't get any reply's in the other section. I have an 85 EFI 302 in my truck and was wondering if I could replace it with all the EFI stuff off an 89 302. The 85 setup has almost no upgrades in aftermarket parts versus the 87 and up. My only concern is will the 89 setup work on my rebuilt 85 block. If so, what exactly is the difference between the 87 and up EFI motors and my 85? ANy help would be most appreciated, thanks

the intake will swap, you will need the computer and harness from the other engine, and then you'll have a modern fuel injected system on an old block.

i recently did this, swapped an intake from a 89 5.0 to a 74 302 it fit perfectly. i swapped the carby intake to my 89 block i'm about to put in my truck.
