1965 F100 Styleside - Needs bed repair

Hi Guys and Gals. I'm new to this so I may be asking a silly question. I recently purchased a '65 F100 Styleside. It has some serious bed floor rust. Is there anyplace to find replacement parts for the stylesides? Everything I'm finding is for stepside. Thanks!

Floor panels are not reproduced. You either need to find and cut out good sections from another bed or replace the floor with something else. Or find another bed. None of which you probably wanted to hear, sorry.

Flareside beds were composed of many pieces, thats why you can rebuild them to a certain extent. Styleside beds were less common so there might be less of them left over from the original production run. Look at it this way, locating a Flareside is hard also. This would not keep me from checking out local junkyards and placing a want add here on FTE. Like mentioned before, you maybe better off looking for a better bed, if yours is that bad. Try cutting out sections and welding new pieces in. I think this is a good place to practice some metal fabrication skills.

Here's a posting from a while back when that came up. After repairing the rusted lower edge at the front of the bed I opted for a flat steel floor. I hope this helps. Phil

Dan, nobody makes a replacement floorpanel, but in the course of redoing mine a while back I discovered that the floorpanel in a later model (80-96)was the same size. The ribs are shaped different, but the panel was the same overall size. That being said though, keep in mind that drilling out all those spot welds is a HUGE job. There are hundreds of those darn things. I found a NOS (64-66) panel at a swap meet once and the guy wanted $600 for it. The later model one should be cheaper.
If you go with a used one, you have twice as many welds to drill out.

If you need a repair panel for the front of the bed, I had to make one for mine and it was pretty easy. There's a drawing for a pattern in my gallery if you need it. Any sheetmetal shop can bend you one up.

Good luck, Phil
