It seems the days of the Big Motor Muscle are gone. Ill drive the Big'ns till the end. Just maybe not as a daily driver

That was a great find bro, Id like to start seeign them out on the street so I can get a better look at em. The only negative side to this is that They'll be a ton harder to work on.

As far as I knew there was not going to be a V6 option in the full size pickup. Maybe the ranger?

One small turbo for quick pickup (no turbo lag) and one for more boost after the smaller one runs out of juice.

catan70, did you read the article fully...if it has a TT V8, it will be a small displacement engine, 5.0L according to the article. You're not going to see a 6.2L TT gasser, not going to happen.

Oh, sure...but how would a properly set up 5.0 TT compare with the current MOD motors?

Well...with the exception of the fact that it would be a bear to work on (though that seems to be the norm these days with the cab removal procedure for the SD), I'd imagine it would absolutely blow the socks off the 5.4L. Though the engine itself would produce little power (comparatively), the twin turbos would spool up so quickly that I can see it being quite quick.

I also doubt that there is going to be some huge gain in powers. I might say 350 HP, as Ford and GM both need to get a few more ponies out the door to counter the foreign offerings, but I imagine the greatest gains that Ford nets will be in the fuel economy of a TT engine.

Dual turbo's on a gas engine would be nice. E85 has a 108 octane rating. Meaning if yon E85 if the injectors can push enough fuel. Which if it's E85 capable they probably will. Now if it comes out at 350hp like someone else suggested as a boosted engine it will then carry somewhere near 400 pnd ft. If that rating is at 14 psi as a general rule of thumb for ever 1 psi is 15 hp meaning at 20 psi on E85 you would be producing somewhere near 440hp and probably 470 or so pnd ft. That would be about right

Plus E85 is a 3,600 tax credit and if you stay out of the boost you could pull decent mileage as the fuel map isn't pushing all that fuel a N/A motor uses when your not on the gas...

I like it, go big Ford.

Actually, E85 octane ranges from about 100 to 105.

Some states offer a few hundred dollars of a tax credit, provided you can prove purchase of a certain number of gallons. Where did you get the $3600 tax credit info from? I know of no such credit... if it exists I need to refile taxes. Here are all the Federal programs:

Maybe it's a State thing for the taxes, it wouldn't surprise me if California had something like it.
