Anyone know where to get bio cheap in SoCal?
Hey all, I hope this isn't too off forum here, but i was wondering if anyone knows where I can get bio cheap? I'm looking for a co-op or some kinda fuel "club". I ran into a guy out in San Marcos, but I'm kinda leery of his method. I live near Irvine and work at Camp Pendleton, so I can cover a decent area to get a good price. I also can hold about 150 gallons, so I don't mind driving a little to pay less. Thanks!!

I dont know where you can buy it....but I do know you can make it yourself in a lot of cases. Some resturants will give you their used oil for free...all you have to do is filter it to make it useable.
Most veggie/bio diesel conversions still retain a diesle tank but they plumb in a second tank to hold the other stuff...simply because they use the regular diesel to start it then switch once its warmed up.
Theres companies out there that will do the converison for you...but if your handy enough Im sure you could do it youself.

Oh, believe me, I know how to make bio, and I know how to plumb my truck so it can run WVO properly. My only problem is storing the oil. Hell, I even have agood sup-ply of oil, just no where to store it. That's why I'm looking for a guy that sells bio and I can get him oil for a reduced price on his bio.

Yeah,
I hear ya....I dont know why noone has come up with a bio diesel station yet....theres some untapped market potential there....sell it for .50-$1.00 a gallon and drive a hole in the gas economy lol...you'd have tons of people lining up to convert their diesels as well....oh well.
Sorry I couldnt be of more help,

I did a yahoo business search for "biodiesel" and this place called extreme biodiesel" popped up. I was gonna go with a guy in San Marcos, but when I found out he is drying his bio with SULFURIC ACID, I ran like a bat outta hell.... Seeing as how I commute from Near Irvine to Oceanside everyday, I'd be willing to drive a bit to get bio at around $2.50 a gal. I will not pay more for bio than #2!!
