How to fit 315/75/16 tires on a 95 F250

I've come a across a good deal on a set of 315/75/16 tires on aluminum rims, 350 for all. There is only about 30% tread left though, rims are 16x10 according to the seller. 350 takes all.

My truck is a stock 95 F250 HD powerstroke though, will I get enough clearance with simple add-a-leafs/leveling kit?

i don't think you will have enough clearance by adding an add-a-leaf. you will need to do a 4" lift to fit the tires. i have a 95 F250 single cab long bed with 5.8 and dana 50. I installed a add-a-leaf on it. it leveled the truck, but the camber was way off!!! i had to take the truck in to get alginment done and it got it closer to 0degrees, but not perfect. now, i have to figure out what i need to do to make the alginment true.

going back to your original question, i installed 34 x 9.5x16 super swampers and it barely clears. if i installed 315x75x16, i know it wouldn't clear!!!

hope this helps.

my truck is an 88 f250 with a 7.3 diesel, it sits level but has no lift kit, guy I bought it from said he put F350 front springs in it, anyhow, it sits level and I just put 33 inch tall tires on it (285/75/16) and there is plenty of room left for 35 inch tall tires, however when the suspension starts moving it would be close, what I cant tell you though is how much more width you can fit in the wheel wells. By the way if you do level the front out, you may have to do what I did to get the proper alignment. I had drop brakets for the I-beams installed, they actually lower the pivot point of the I beams so the still function as if they were at normal height, and they keep the alignment shop from having to camber your front end all the way out. got mine for $150 I think, from JC whitney. I think you can fit them if you level it out and your backspacing is enough to keep them from rubbing the leaf springs when you turn.

Drop a solid d60 under it. You f-250 guys got it a little easyer to switch to solid front then the f-150's do. Anywho about the tires. Sure they will fit, but do you want to turn, go over speed bumps, through ditches, and hop a curb.
all of these things will come into play when you go bigger without some lift and diff B/S on the rims. 4 inch lift would be your best option then you could run 35 and prob up to 38's. Remember what ever you do when you increase tire size you should regear as well. You will lose quiet a bit on the perfomance side with out regearing. just my .02

You can fit 315's under the front with add-a-leafs, you will have to clearance the front bumper at the bottom where it wraps around in the wheel well, or space it out with washers. The alignment will be off but any good tire shop should be able to get it close.

i've been looking for a Dana 60 in my neck of the woods. its hard to come by. I live in orange county, CA. if i do find them, they want 1.5K - 2K for it. thats not worth it in my books. i've been actively looking to purchase a 94 - 95 F350 4X4 for really cheap. that way, i can swap some parts to my F250.

dont worry bocephus. i'm lookin for one!!!!
