I'm heading out to Carteret the day before the 4th, Mako......Clamming......trying for at least one day on the 25' Cat with friends......Heard they've been pulling in the 50-lb bull dolphin in about 100 feet of water.......Oh yeah.....and stocking up on fresh, monster shrimp also......

GD, the coast rocks!.....

we did ok saturday, lots of dolphin, two wahoo, and a damn nice 36lb king. sunday the wind and waves got up "7 foot seas" so we came home early. we never went out more than about 10 or 12 miles this weekend. oh yeah the funny thing, we caught all our dolphin around a floating port-a-jon door those fish will school up around anything

OK, you got me on that one. I guess it's just aggravating as hell, it's just easier to leave it there. it's nice just to go down to the coast and jump on the boat and go plus with a 22" draft fresh water lakes around our parts are a hazard.

You're right, of course......I was kidding.......Mileage sux when you're towing a 25' boat back and forth!!!....(haha)

Still....While you're "doing time" in Cabarrus County and dreaming of your next trip to the big pond....Wouldn't it be nice to grab a cold one at the end of the day...turn on the radio....climb up on the boat into the Captain's chair and dream?.......
