your hourly wage

just started at $14.00 an hour. 50-60 hours paid overtime (plus 401k and %100 paid health insurance after 90) which isn't too bad for out in the boondocks here, as far as a single guy, cheap rent, no car payment (newest thats registed is an 84 mercury capri 5.0 that i have around $400-500 into ) my roommate make 2 bucks an hour less and has a $400/month payment to make.

I just got a new job 3 weeks ago starting at $8.00 an hour. I just quit my other job which was up to $11.10 an hour. My new job is full time with overtime and my old job was part time. I'm actually taking home just as much at my new job as I was at my old job. Is it stupid I quit for less pay? Maybe but I did it because I was starting to get the short end of the stick at my part time job and had enough.

I only get $8/hr, but my job is great esp. since it my first "real" job. I work for the county as a part time mechanic/parts room person. I dont get payed as much as i would at other shops but-
-I work at my pace, as long as its reasonable. I dont have to rush to finish something.
-I dont have to pay taxes on work related stuff(tools, steel toe shoes, etc)
-Excellant benefits(once im old enough, and im off my parents insurance)
-The hardest part about my job is the paperwork you have to fill out and once you figure out how to do it, its pretty easy.
-Payed holidays and vacation
Personally i think i got a very good job, considering im 17 and still in school. Once im out of school, ill start at $15/hr.
EDIT-Probably the best part of my job is the discounts i get on parts. We order most of our stuff from NAPA or Ford, i usually get like at least 20% off the normal price. I bought my starter the other day, normally it would of been like $150-$160 but i got it for $120. I also get a discount on tires.

I make $10 an hour working for my uncles construction company. He has 3 caprenters working for him. I am basically everyones assistant and when they don't need me they will make me sweep and when I finish they walk through and track mud and make me sweep it again. Today I swept for 3 hours.

I just got a new job. Starts at $9 an hour, but will go up after my 60-90 day probation period. The cool thing is that it has full benefits, paid holidays, paid vacation, stock options, and employee discounts. The health and dental insurance will save me a lot of money per month right off the bat, so it's like I'm making $17 an hour because my old job did not have any benefits.
