Hi Guys!!!
I'm wondering to make some "serious" mods without compromising the engine.....
I have just saw that Paxton sell a kit for supercharge the V10....add more that 125 HP....and over 80LB/FT starting at 3000 rpm....
The kit cost about 4300 $.....(hihihi I should buy in Euro...more convenient!!)
What you think about that mod?? Can be safe for the engine??
I don't tow anything with mine X.....(I have also removed the tow bar...less weight!!!)
And do you think adding the Banks complete power pak....can be more "completing" for the engine???
Thank you and best regards from Italy......(Almost 6 $ per gallon the 93...we don't have the 87....) nand over 80 lb/ft of torque starting at only 3000 rpm d over 80 lb/ft of torque starting at only 3000 rpm
I had a whipple on my 03. Considering the fact that I only have 6600 miles on that truck, I took it off. It sits in a box in my shop.
It does in fact help the HP and torque. I noticed no real change in MPG. I suffered no ill effects to the truck for having the SC on. I did no other mods. I believe the paxton is a different type than the whipple, so I don't know anything about that.
I have a custom turbo shop not far from me, they have talked to me about fabbing up a turbo for me. They have a couple test trucks with 5.4s in them. If the numbers they are telling me are correct, I am jumping on that and leaving the whipple as a paper weight, or scrap. Good luck with the Paxton if you do go that route.
