Snorkel for your Bronco

Snorkel for your Bronco
Hi all, just thought if anyone was interested I have fitted a Snorkel to the Bronc.
I have used a Safari Snorkel from ARB, that Suits a 2005 Australian Nissan Patrol, not sure if or what they are called over there, but if you can get the snorkel it ends up looking pretty good.

I know I spent ages looking, so I figure if I add this post, it may save someone a lot of time.
Cheers from Australia,
Daz

The Bronc id using standard 351C heads, Mick Webb built and raced the 351 GTHO's in the 70's and believes that the 302 Closed chamber will not give a true burn, when running the flat top pistons. Who am I to argue? The motor is AWSOME!
Lots of people still use them the 302 Closed chamber, but the standard heads flow fantastic when you are after torque.
I had the motor built for torque, it basicly produces max torque from 1200rpm, and then drops off at about 5000, but still revs and produces power to 5500rpm, and will sit at that all day.
The motor was orginally built using the 351 manifold, with the quadrajet (700+cfm) carby in an 1982 XE Ford Fairmont Ghia (ford falcon).
I got bored and decided to sell the XE and put the motor into the Bronco adding the Torque Power EFI manifold and Wolf Injection ECU.
I learnt heaps and enjoy the EFI & LPG setup. Best of Both worlds!!.
Cheers, glad you like the Bronc, I think my wife and kids would kill me if i ever sold it!

I have only a couple of question. Are you also running a sealed ignition system to go along with that snorkel? And also are you running an electric fan? I have found that doing water crossing high enough to warrant a snorkel, the motor stalls out from lack of spark and I also chewed up a rad when the water got that high and the fan pulled itself into it. Other than that, I am very jealous. That is one hell of a maching that you built there, and if you ever come over to Canada with that thing, we are definetly going to have to go wheelin!

Never had a drama with the ignition, I have a mustang rubber boot covering the Distributor & have sealed the base (Windsor distributor).
The fan just sprays a bit of water out the side of the Bonnet, hasn't caused any issues yet.
Would love to come over and Play!!! Maybe if I win the lottery!!!
