Holley 2300 Fuel Inlet

I just have a quick question I got my 2300 holley 4412-S in today and I'm going to put it on when I get home this afternoon but does anyone who has one of these know what size the fuel inlet fitting is. The inlet is threaded, is it the same size as where the motorcraft fuel filter screws in on a 2150? If so I can just screw in a new fuel filter and hook up my fuel line. I just wanted to know before I get home and have no way to hook up my rubber fuel line to it.

Thanks.

Did it not come with the fitting in the box to hook up the fuel line? I was thinking it was the Ford filter size thread, but I am not 100% sure.

I don't see it in there. There is a bag of screws and stuff but it looks like that stuff is just for the tranny kickdown. From a little research it looks like the fitting is 5/8ths, is that the size of the ford filter?

If memory serves right, it was indeed 5/8. Or was it 9/16? I didn't use a screw-in filter on the 2300. I ran a brass inlet fitting so I could slip a fuel hose on it. I ran a see-through glass filter from the pump to the carburetor.

Jermafenser that is exactly what I did. For anyone else looking for this information itis some metric fitting around 3/8ths just go to Autozone and tell them you need the fitting and they have it in the back. Thanks.
I didn't put this with the other thread because it was a totally different subject.

That sucker runs so smooth and idles so low I love it. The truck is actually quiter now at idle, but when I step on it!!!
Jerm you were right I love this carb!!!!!!
$300 well spent!!!!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that not the same carb for "tri" or 6-pack setups??

Just wondering, and thinking, scheming dreaming...............

The fitting is Metric? Are you sure? How could you use the correct fuel filter which is not Metric? How can you use the original fuel line fittings?

Yup, Ford use the Holley 2300 for their Tri-Power setup.

I'm pretty sure its a metric fitting, because a standard 3/8ths brass fitting would not screw in there, and the guy said well maybe its a metric fitting and then he came back with a fitting screwed in. I didn't use the regular fuel filter. The way I have it set up is the same way Jerm has his set up. My hard line coming from the fuel pump stops about 6-8 inches away from the carb then I have a piece of rubber fuel line running to a clear glass filter then another piece of rubber line running up to the brass fitting on the carb.
