380 miles on a full tank of fuel?
I just bought this truck about 2 weeks ago and on the only full tank of fuel I've ran through it I only got 380 miles. It's a shortbed so what size tank do I have? Anyway the only mods on the truck were straight pipe and DIY air filter. My driving was a mix of about 60% hwy and 40% around town. I replaced the fuel filter yesterday so I guess I'll see if that helps.

Just an idea, i don't know if your truck is a 4x4 or not. But i just got mine not long ago and it has the Factory Manual hubs I never checked them before i drove it home and around over 100miles later i noticed that my hubs were locked in. So just a thought but you might want to check that out. Also there is a post on here about the MAP sensor and MPG and how to test it, along with the EBPS tube cleaning. And an oil change never hurts either if you havn't changed it already.

I know when I found out my EBP sensor was bad and I replaced it I regained about 2mpg and lot of lost power. This sensor doesn't set the CES light for the code but it does store one so you might want to have scanned and see if you have that code and if so, first clean the tube for it, and second replace that sensor.

Makes me appreciate the 38 gallon tank in the long bed and the ~600 mile range that comes with it.

Heck, my short bed 250 gets about 12.5-13 mpg. Same tank but I usually fill up at 300 miles or so.
I checked my EBPS tube and it was clogged. Cleaned it out and saw no difference. I have a new sensor on the way from e-bay and it only cost $10.50. Hope to give good news after that comes in.

To get accurate hand calculated mileage, you have to fill it to the neck every time, then divide your miles since last fill up by the amount you put in. I get around 15 in town and 17+ on the highway if I'm not in a hurry. I haven't dropped my tank yet for the Hutch/Harpoon, so it takes just as long to get those last 5 gallons in as the first 25...
