sirius installation

ive had sirius in my truck for about two months now. it started out being realy good quality. now its sort of fuzzy ever once in a while. i looked at the website and it says i need a direct transmittor but it needs to be plugged into the back of the radio and professional installation is recommended. has anyone put a direct transmittor in their truck and if so how hard was it to do. 2005 f250 xlt with premium sound 6 disc cd changer. thanks

i had the same problem. the satellite companies have reduced the power of the fm transmitters on their receivers. you can read about it on the web. even before that it was a pain in the butt to have to find new stations when travelling. i used the P.I.E. adapter. was an easy install and audio is awesome now. much cleaner. uses the aux on the stereo. here is a link to where i bought mine on e-bay nad of the company itself.

The pie adapter is awesome! I have put into 2 different vehicles. Well worth money. Plug into back of radio, then you'll have 1 power wire and 1 ground, dial your sound level in on the pot and your in business
